~ First generation Mexican-American Sergio Romo’s commitment to the community has made him a fan favorite in San Francisco.

~ He is actively involved with “Athletes in Math Succeed,” a program created to inspire minority male students to challenge themselves academically. He lends his time and money to this cause.

~ “Mission Graduates” is a college connection program that Sergio participates in to help students with the resources and guidance they need to get into a good college.

~ He is involved in “Challenger Clinics” to teach baseball skills to Little Leaguers with special needs. His compassion and sincerity puts smiles on their young faces.

~ He frequently meets with visitors from Make-A-Wish to brighten their day.


Named to the 2013 National League All-Star team, Sergio Romo helped the Giants win the 2011 and 2012 World Series Championship. He placed third in saves in the league in 2013 with 38.
