HUMANITARIAN SERVICE:

~ Following the devastating tornadoes in Tuscaloosa in 2011, the David and Erin Robertson Foundation was established to help those affected.

~ To help the victims in Tuscaloosa, the Foundation paid for temporary housing, repaired homes, purchased clothing, replaced glasses and dentures, bought mattresses and furnished over 200 homes. They sponsored Habitat homes and with the help of Nick’s Kids Fund raised over $350,000.00 for Habitat for Humanity of Tuscaloosa.

~ Following Hurricane Sandy, David and the Foundation helped victims in New Jersey, Staten Island and Long Island by sending more than 400 mattress sets, food, furniture and three truckloads of supplies. In June 2012 they partnered with NBTY Helping Hands to furnish 25 homes in Far Rockaway, NY. On December 22, 2013 they furnished 13 homes for families on Staten Island. David and Erin personally helped assemble furniture and decorate the homes so the families would be settled for Christmas. Since December,through a partnership with Bain Capital , they furnished over 100 homes in New York and New Jersey.

~ After the tornadoes in Oklahoma and Texas last year, David and Erin sent emergency supplies and purchased furniture for 22 families in Oklahoma and 9 families in Texas.

~ David founded “High Socks for Hope” to stage events to raise money for the Foundation. He donates $100 for every strikeout and $200 for every save that he records.

BASEBALL CAREER:

A member of the Yankees 2009 World Championship team, David Robertson was named to the American League All-Star team in 2011. He ranked first in holds in the American League in 2011 with 34.
