COMMUNITY SERVICE:
Jeff Suppan contributes $100,000 each year to the Brewers Charities to support activities and programs targeted to youth recreation, scholarships and education throughout Wisconsin. He has a history of support for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Foundation in New York City. He donates $50 for each strikeout he records to the organization. The Foundation provides assistance to children and families of U.S. Soldiers killed in the line of duty. His donation is matched by Cardinals Care. Jeff is also an active participant in "Baseballers Against Drugs" (BAD). As a member of the Pontifical Council of Church and Sport, he visited Pope Benedict XVI in the Vatican last off-season. He serves on the Board of Directors of his high school in California.


BASEBALL CAREER:
A 12-year veteran of the Major Leagues, Jeff Suppan has amassed a record of 114-109. He led his high school team to victory in the 1993 Mickey Mantle World Series in Waterbury, Connecticut.
The Branch Rickey Award is presented annually by the Rotary Club of Denver.
Proceeds from the event benefit Denver Kids, Inc., a preventative counseling
and mentoring program for at-risk students in Denver Public Schools.
