COMMUNITY SERVICE:
Randy Wolf has served as spokesman for the Children’s Miracle Network for the past two seasons. He purchases $6,000 in tickets each year for CMN kids and their families. He visits with the children on the field during batting practice. This year marks the fourth annual Glanville/Lieberthal/Wolf Celebrity Billiards tournament. Proceeds from the event benefit the Philadelphia Futures mentoring program for inner-city high school students. In May, the three players teamed to donate $25,000 to the Futures program. Overall, the 2004 Tournament raised close to $100,000. Each year, Randy visits several hospitals to raise the spirits of sick children in both Philadelphia and Clearwater, FL, site of the Phillies spring training. He attends numerous charity functions each year, to the delight of the fans who get to meet him. Randy also takes part in “Baseballers Against Drugs,” free baseball clinics for inner-city youth.

BASEBALL CAREER:
Randy Wolf was named to the 2003 NL All-Star team. His 16-10 record last year tied for fifth in the league. He was seventh in strikeouts per nine innings pitched with 8.0 and eleventh in opponents average at .233. Randy led NL lefthanders in wins, strikeouts (177), opposing average and innings pitched. In 1995, he pitched for Team USA. In 1997, he was named a second team All American by Baseball America. As a junior in high school, Randy pitched a no-hitter and a perfect game in consecutive starts.
The Branch Rickey Award is presented annually by the Rotary Club of Denver.
Proceeds from the event benefit Denver Kids, Inc., a preventative counseling
and mentoring program for at-risk students in Denver Public Schools.
