COMMUNITY SERVICE:
Jeff Conine is a member of the board of trustees of Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. He and his wife Cindy founded the Conine All-Star Classic, a celebrity golf tournament that raises money for the hospital. Over the past 10 years, the tournament has raised more than $1,500,000. In November 2003, the hospital honored Jeff and Cindy by dedicating “Conine’s Clubhouse,” a 24-hour facility to accommodate families who have children admitted for treatment. Jeff also serves on the Advisory Board of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida. He participated in their 2004 Sports Banquet, which raised more than $285,000 to help make wishes come true. In 2003, he was the Grand Marshall of the Make-A-Wish “Miracle on 136th Street” Holiday Parade. He will actively participate in making two dreams come true this season. Two “Wish” children have the dream of being a member of the Florida Marlins for a day. They will have the opportunity to hang out in the dugout during batting practice, meet the players in the Clubhouse and throw out the first pitch prior to the game. Jeff is also involved in planning and developing of a new YMCA in Weston, Florida. He has contributed both time and funds to the project.

BASEBALL CAREER:
In 1,542 career games, Jeff Conine has 1,571 hits. He was a member of the 1994 and 1995 NL All-Star teams. Besides being a star outfielder, he is a world-class racquetball player. Jeff won the 1985 Junior National Championship and has competed in several pro tournaments.
The Branch Rickey Award is presented annually by the Rotary Club of Denver.
Proceeds from the event benefit Denver Kids, Inc., a preventative counseling
and mentoring program for at-risk students in Denver Public Schools.
