Each year, the Branch Rickey Award celebrates the countless unselfish acts of community service performed by humanitarians in Major League Baseball. They are true role models
for today’s youth.
Proceeds from the award banquet and silent auction benefit the many projects of the Denver Rotary Club Foundation, among them is Denver Kids, Inc. (DKI).
Founded in 1946 by The Rotary Club of Denver and Denver Public Schools, DKI is a preventive counseling and mentoring program for 1,000 high-risk students, grades K–12.
Through events such as the Branch Rickey Award, DKI will be able to continue providing the time, attention and caring that has repeatedly made the difference in the lives of the students they serve.
